Atleast eight people are reported dead
and scores of others injured in the
Umoja area of Nairobi after a matatu
carrying passengers was crashed by a
train at the Buruburu-Mutindwa junction
early Wednesday morning. The matatu
was crossing the railway line at the
junction as the accident happened.
Six of the people died at the scene
while two others succumbed to injuries
later. The injured have been rushed to
Mama Lucy Hospital in Kayole.
Emergency responders including Kenya
Red Cross are at the scene.
