to men and women in the disciplined
forces for the service they render to the
country.

everything possible to improve their
welfare, and ensure they discharge their
duties accordingly.
“It is the intention of my government to
increase your budget allocation annually
to ensure you perform your duties well,”
said Uhuru.
Uhuru was speaking during a joint prayer
service for the disciplined forces which
was held at the Holy family Basilica,
Nairobi. The officers were praying for
their work, families and for those who

Service, Kenya Forest Service and the
National Youth Service.
It was presided over by the Bishop of
Meru Catholic Diocese, Rt Rev Salesius
Mugambi.

Kenyans to take the security obligation by
ensuring that they are not living with the
enemy.

far, they live within us. Security is the
obligation of every single citizen,” said
Uhuru.
Deputy President William Ruto also
congratulated the disciplined forces,
saying it can never be taked for granted
that they haveput their lives in danger to
protect the country.
Kenya has for a long time now grappled
with rampant cases of insecurity ranging
from abductions, terror attacks and inter-
clan clashes.
The recent attack was at the Westgate
shopping mall which left the country and
the world looking for answers as to
whether the security systems are well
equipment to protect the citizens.
Over 67 lives were lost in the attack,
which is among the worst ever
