You are here: Home » » So THIS Is Why Sheila Kwamboka Flew To Nigeria
Recently, Sheila Kwamboka announced
via social media that she was off to
Nigeria and the rumor mill was rife
with speculation about what she had
gone to do there.
It was widely believed that she had
gone to pursue her relationship with
Uti Nwachukwu, after he won Big
Brother Africa Allstars. But we have
now found that that was not the case.
Sheila had gone to Nigeria to record a
show called Passport, a show where
her and the crew of Blackmedly
productions are travelling all over
Africa to showcase the basketball
talent found in the individual
countries.
In episode 1 of Passport, Sheila travels
to Lagos, Nigeria, Africa's most
populous nation, where they quickly
learn that this country is all about
nurturing talent. This week, Sheila sets
up camp in a basketball training centre
called Warriors Dodan Academy, which
has produced two NBA players so far.
They find out a lot more about why
the Nigerian players play basketball,
despite there not being so much
money in it right now, and they also
find out some interesting tidbits about
the history of Nigeria, especially the
slave trade.
Take a look below at Passport, the
show that looks at local African
basketball, culture and what makes
these places what they are:
